There could be some hope for those suffering from severe anxiety. A laser already approved along with FDA to treat physical pain may help ease the pain of anxiety.
Patients barely glance at the low level laser which is used similar to naturopathy.
Researchers are shining some light on a common condition.
'I struggled with anxiety and stress pretty much my whole life,' said anxiety disorder patient Maxine Cohen.
She suffers from severe anxiety that sometimes cause her to hyperventilate.
When medication and therapy didn't help, Maxine turned a good experimental treatment called laser light treatment method.
Patients barely glance at the low level laser which is used similar to acupuncture targeting certain energy or meridian points in the body.
'We can harness the light the actual reason in the laser and focus it on these same meridian points which seem to deemed window into the entire content of the nervous system,' said clinical psychologist Dr. Andrew Rosen.
There's evidence that as soon as the skin absorbs the light it spurs the manufacture of endorphins, dopamine and serotonin in head develops. These chemicals are recognized to ease pain, stress and anxiety.
Rosen could be the only one testing this laser for anxiety. He's now endeavouring to recruit other doctors to run a test for depression and other disorders.
'Insomnia, and pain syndrome, such as fibromyalgia,' Rosen said.
Maxine just started some 12 treatments for anxiety.
'I personally felt total relaxation marriage ceremony first treatment,' Cohen expressed.
She should find outside in a couple of weeks if those results would certainly last.
Researchers said if final results are positive, the laser could eventually become available in the united states.
